Meet your contractor

Hi, I'm Jesse. I've been building in GTA homes for 22 years.

JMack Builds started in 2003 with one belief: homeowners deserve a contractor who shows up, communicates clearly, and treats every home like it's their own.

I personally oversee every project, work alongside trades I've known for years, and don't quote anything I can't deliver. When I tell you what something will cost and how long it'll take — that's what it costs and how long it takes.

We've worked on every kind of GTA home — century-old Toronto semis, mid-century bungalows, 90s suburban detached, brand-new builds. The work is different in each, but the standard isn't. Proper waterproofing, framing that's plumb and square, finishes that hold up, and a jobsite you can walk through without losing your mind.

The new Exteriors division is something I've been building toward for two years. Same crew, same standard, now in your backyard too. Decks, fencing, interlock, retaining walls — all the structural outdoor work where the shortcuts show up two winters later.

If you're thinking about a project, give me a call or send a note through the contact page. I'll come walk through the space with you, scope it honestly, and write you a clear quote. No pressure, no obligation — just a real conversation about what's possible.

What we believe

Five things that haven't changed in 22 years.

These aren't slogans on a website — they're the reasons clients call us back, refer their neighbours, and write the reviews we work to deserve.

01

Honest quotes

No surprises clause

What we quote is what you pay.

If something behind the wall surprises us mid-build, we tell you immediately, explain the options, and price the change honestly before we touch it. No invoice padding. No vague "allowances" that triple at the finish line. Twenty-two years of doing it this way, and it's never cost us a project we wanted.

02

Constant communication

You always know what's happening

You'll never have to chase me for an update.

Weekly progress reports with photos during the build. A single point of contact — me — for every question. If you text me at 9am, you hear back the same day. If something is going to change the timeline, you know before it happens, not after.

03

Vetted trades only

A small, trusted network

The same plumber, electrician, and tiler on every job.

We don't pull names off a list. The trades on your project are the same people I've worked with for years — many for over a decade. They know how I work, they know what "done" looks like, and they show up when they say they will. That consistency is why our timelines hold.

04

Respect for the home

It's still where you live

A clean jobsite, every single day.

Drop cloths down before anyone walks in. Dust barriers around the work zone. Boots off at the door if that's your house rule. End-of-day cleanup before we leave. Your kids, pets, and routine matter — we work around them, not over them.

05

Craft that holds up

The things you can't see

The shortcuts always show eventually.

Proper waterproofing membrane behind the shower tile. Blocking in the walls for grab bars you might want in ten years. Framing that's plumb and square so the finishes sit right. Vapour barrier sealed properly so the basement stays dry. The finishes are what you see — the craft is what makes them last.

Let's talk about your project.

Reach out and I'll get back to you within one business day.
